Hey everyone!

My name is Hossam Halaweish and I am a medical student at the University of Minnesota. Outside of class I am a photographer who specializes in portrait and landscape photography.

COVID-19 created new needs while putting enormous financial pressure on all nonprofits. That is why I decided to start my own photography non-profit, Portraits for a Purpose, in the summer of 2020. I donated 100% my proceeds to Feed the Children and aided them in their COVID relief program.

Starting June of 2021, I adjusted my efforts towards raising awareness and funds towards the ongoing tragedies in Palestine by donating 100% of the proceeds to the Palestine Children Relief Fund (PCRF). The need for aid in Palestine is at an all time high and PCRF are on the ground providing help to those in need.

If you’re interested in a portrait-style photography session, and you live around the Minneapolis area, fill out a contact form and together we can take portraits for a purpose.
